Meet Erin
WHO I AM
Erin Henry, MSW, LCSW, RYT-500
I have worked in various settings, including hospice, juvenile detention, community mental health, non-profit, and private practice.
I have my RYT-500 (advanced yoga teacher training), and have been combining yoga and psychotherapy since I started as a therapist in 2010. I have evolved as a practitioner to include nature and animal assisted therapy and am passionate about helping women find their voices and true selves through healing in community, connection, and relationship.
I am a proud breast cancer survivor and thriver, and am passionate about helping women on their breast cancer journey.
In my free time you can find me playing outside, camping, and traveling. I have learned through my life experiences the value of nature and the wilderness to help us find our connection with the land, each other, and ourselves so we can live empowered, balanced, grounded lives.
WHO I WORK WITH
SPECIALTIES
I work with women who are committed to personal growth and development and are looking for support with building confidence, standing in their power, learning to say no, breaking out of trauma responses, and learning to practice healthy relationship qualities and skills.
I work with women who are in love with nature and a more ‘wild, holistic, natural side” of life and are drawn to the undomesticated style of therapy I offer that rewilds them back to their natural, wild women selves; the women who claim the book Women who Run with the Wolves lives on their nightstand and is a guidebook for living.
I have developed a model that focuses on women’s development in groups where we heal in community through increased connection and contact through supportive, nurturing relationships. Many of my clients participate in group work in addition to individual therapy. I lead various groups including a grief group, trauma skills group with nature and equines, and a yoga based skills group.
